New Market Homeless Men Building a Homeless Shelter

I saw this news article about homeless men in New Market, TN from WVLT building them a homeless shelter. These men didn’t have anywhere to go, nor did any other shelter take them in. So they decided to do something about it, they decided to build their own shelter. So far they have been working on this shelter for 1 and half years. WVLT Reports “They’re laying block at least three days a week, they’re stacking the scaffolding the other three days.”  These men also rest on Sunday and also help out in the community to help keep the shelter afloat, but they are fast running out of funds.

WVLT also reports that they need dry wallers, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, & roofers. I am sure if you are near the area and have time and know these talents it would come in to good use and would help bless these men. They are  currently working to restore was actually two separate homes. It was also reported that the house was donated by an anonymous man in Morristown.

If you know any house building traits or have extra supplies, etc. I know it would bless these men to receive it. The help in restoration and the items needed. I am not totally sure where this house is currently being built, all I know is from this report.

I am sure they also could use other items, like the items in a Blessing Bag.

I believe we should do what ever we can do to edify, them, to help encourage and bless them. If you are like me have no clue about how to build a house and such, then I encourage you to go visit them and encourage them. Lift them up. Send them something to eat, maybe a small meal. Maybe a Blessing Bag, as I stated above. You could also help to get the word out and see if you know someone with those skill sets that could help these men out.

If I knew, I would go and visit these men and talk to them and then share more. If someone knows please feel free to comment contact me and let me know.
