Netflix facing backlash over a show featuring a gay Jesus

This show is based out of Brazil. It was created Brazilian YouTube comedy group Porta dos Fundos.

In a Change.org petition, as of Wednesday afternoon, there were over 2 million people signed it. When you go to sign the petition, it ask you give money. I wouldn’t do that! I don’t encourage anyone to do that either.

Values artistic freedom and humor through satire on the most diverse cultural themes of our society and believes that freedom of expression is an essential construction for a democratic country.”

In a Porta dos Fundos mentioned in a statement to PEOPLE

On Twitter on Saturday, the president’s son Eduardo Bolsonaro called the Netflix film “garbage” and said the filmmakers “do not represent Brazilian society.”

In this film, they present Christ as having relations with a homosexual and the disciples are alcoholics and unruly. The Virgin Mary is presented as an adulterous woman.

CitizenGo even has their own petition that claims it is sent to:

  • Reed Hastings, founder and CEO of Netflix
  • Jeff Hensien, Head of the Netflix Consumer Service Department
  • Ted Sarandos, Netflix Content Manager

As a Christian we know this is mockery. We know that Jesus never sinned. We do need to stand up to such garbage as a Christian. The Bible says God will not be mocked.

But also remember those involved in the film in anyway (acting, making, sets, etc.) and those allowing it to air all will have to answer to God for it.

God can even forgive those involved when the repent and turn away from their evil ways.

I believe this should not be allowed to air. It is a disgrace.

The Devil tried to temp Jesus but Jesus never cave in. Nor was Jesus ever homosexual. Nor was pot smoking one. Mary was a virgin!

I haven’t watched this film, nor do I plan on watching it. I don’t recommend anyone watching it.

Anyways check out what the Bible says

The temptation of Christ is described in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. According to scripture, after being baptized by John the Baptist, Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights in the Judaean Desert. During this time, Satan appeared to Jesus and attempted to tempt him towards sin.  Jesus having refused each temptation, the Devil then departed and Jesus returned to Galilee to begin his ministry.

  1. This stuff makes me utterly sick to my stomach! They would not dare make a movie with Islam and a gay Mohamed but they feel it’s perfectly ok to insult GOD! Sick, vile, evil is what it is!

    1. It is evil no doubt. You are right, if they did it about anyone else … I guess the blasphemy just goes to help prove that Jesus is Savior. That is why the enemy loves to attack. Thanks for visiting and commenting.
