National Garlic Day

National Garlic Day is held annually on April 19.

It is in the same family onions, leeks, and shallots. It has many benefits such as helping with colds, reducing blood pressure and cholesterol. It even has some antibiotic properties.

Mythology and folklore would have it that garlic can word off many bad creatures such as witches, werewolf, vampires, Dracula and more.

I am not sure how or when this day got started, but this is one for me. I love to add garlic to most everything I cook.

Garlic Lovers Day is held in October.
