This special day was created to celebrate food trucks, and was started by DJ Rick McNeely of the Fishbowl Radio Network in Arlington, TX.

This day is also known as National Eat at a Food Truck Day, is observed next on Friday, June 26, 2020.

Future Dates

  • 2021 – June 25
  • 2022 – June 24
  • 2023 – June 30
  • 2024 – June 28
  • 2025 – June 27

Past Dates

In the past, it was observed annually on October 11th from 2015 until 2017. In 2018, it moved to being observed on the last Friday in June.

Knoxville even has a Food Truck Park where different Food Trucks can go. Parts of Knoxville, some businesses have them parked outside of their establishment during lunch hours.

The great thing about these is they are portable and go where needed! That park is Southside Garage.
