I remember as a child, we would usually put ours up on the day after Thanksgiving. Everyone puts it up and takes it down at different times.

National Christmas Tree Day is held annually on December 8.

December 8 was choose because it is also called Immaculate Conception Day.

Different parts of the world put up Christmas trees at different times. German tradition says that Christmas trees should be put up on December 23 or Christmas Eve, and need to be down by January 5—Twelfth Night of Christmas.

Christmas Trees use to be green, because they are from the evergreen tree family. Today, you can get artificial Christmas Trees in many colors like white, silver, pink, black, red, blue, etc.
