National Cat Day

This day was founded as a way to bring awareness to the number of homeless cats in 2005. National Cat Day, celebrated on October 29th, every year in the United States. The day is supported by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, a nonprofit organization which also works to encourage pet adoption. Here are some other cat days. International Cat Day, August 8th,created in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare. World Cat Day, celebrated on 17 February in much of Europe and on 1 March in Russia.

Missy

Missy was a black cat that use to live with my daughter and I. We had to give her up because of where we moved one time. But, she went to a great home. Missy was a solid black long-haired cat. At the end of her life, she was on dialysis. She later died. She was living with a blind woman who really loved Missy.

Lilly Bug

Lilly Bug is my current cat that I have. She is a calico cat. She was adopted by myself at the local Jefferson County Animal Shelter. I have always loved calico cats. I knew I had to have her, when I first saw her. Adopted 2015.

Joel the Brave

Joel the Brave is a very young kitten at the time of this blog post. He belongs to Heather of SimplySpokn. Joel the Brave, don’t leave the Brave part out, is a very playful and active black cat. He is a very loving and cuddling kitten. Adopted 2018.

MissPrints

MissPrints She is the newest cat, she is a rescue cat, left at Steve’s work a print shop, this her name. She was just a tiny kitten. Adopted 2023.
