National Back to Church Sunday - a day to help equip and encourage church members to invite people to church.

This day is celebrated the third Sunday in September each year. It has been celebrated since 2008.

In 2019, that is on September 15. Which is the 11th Anniversary.

Next year, 2020, that is on September 20.

Did you know that 82% of the unchurched would be interested in coming to church if invited by a friend and yet in the last year only 2% of church members have invited someone?

This day is considered “the largest community-based outreach effort in the nation.” As National Back To Church Sunday is all about helping you bridge that gap in your church by providing one Sunday a year where all of your members are equipped and encouraged to invite friends, family and coworkers to church. (Taken from their website).

So far over 40,000 churches have participated.

Truthfully, this should be every Sunday! I encourage you to consider joining your churches outreach team. One church I was at called theirs Grow ministry. The church I’m at now calls it Boots on the Ground.
