Lil Jo’s Bar-B-Que – I talk about my visit to this bbq joing in Mayndardville, TN. #LilJosBBQ
Lil Jo’s Bar-B-Que
My wife and I decided to take a short road trip back in June of 2018 and ended up in Mayndardville, TN. We saw a billboard about a BBQ joint so we figured we would check them out. We pull up and the BBQ Joint turned an old gas station, convenient store, into a restaurant. Lil Jo’s BBQ is rustic looking inside and out. You can dine in, take it to go or eat on the patio. Oh yea, they have drive in. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover either!
come on in … and bite my big ol’ butt!
My Food
I got Brisket and Cat Fish.
Their brisket tasted good with a good marinate. The BBQ Sauce was good too. My cat fish was okay. If I go back, I would just stick to the brisket. My toast was lightly toasted. My garlic mashed potatoes were alright. The brown gravy was okay. I did like the baked beans.
My Wife’s Food
My wife got the pork butt and said it tasted good. She also got a muffin with her meal and that muffin was burnt.
Mason Jar Cups
I like the mason jar cups to drink out of.
Friendly Staff
Our waitress, ironically, was named Heather. But she was very friendly.
More about them
I saw they sell pizza too.
I would be back!
I still think Haymaker’s in Harrogate, TN is better, where you get bigger portions and taste better. Then my second favorite BBQ joint is Bennett’s in Pigeon Forge.
More info
I paid for both my wife’s meal and mine. We didn’t get anything for this review. It was done on my own.
