Let there be light! God created the heavens and the Earth. The Bible tells us it was without form and it was dark. So God gave the first command!
Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.”
Genesis 1:3 NASB
Thus making day and night on the first day of creation. Of course that light was the sun.
When it comes to the New Earth, we won’t need the sun with a u to give us light. Jesus will give us light, as He is the light of the world. So the Son, with an “o”.
God created everything else on the next five days. After that, He rested on that seventh day.

Light means a lot! God is light and gives us light. That light can be used to see, for warmth and to expose. It can be used for many other things too.
