Justifying Grace

This was my fourth talk (out of 15 total) along my Walk to Emmaus in 1998. I would like to share these notes with you. I don’t recall or wrote down the name of the person who gave this talk to us. So feel free to subscribe to my blog by your favorite RSS reader or even by email.

Medicine is God’s Justifying Grace

And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the Lord your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

(Exodus 6:7)

God offers us renewed love. We are an image of God, He is the one who created us.

Justification changes the relationship with God.
Relationship changes the person.

Your moment of change into a new creation is your Justified Grace.

Conversion isn’t what Christ can do for us, but through our justification of the Grace by Jesus Christ. Think of it like an alignment. You have to align the tires of a car to keep the car going straight. Christ gives us an alignment so we can walk straight.

Read Ezekiel 12:1-28

This shows us we live in  a rebellious house. We are rebellious toward God prior to his Justifying Grace.

Read Luke 4:1-44

Here Jesus brings good news to all. He heals and casts out demons. Jesus came here to announce Justification of God. God’s Grace helps us get into the right way with God. Acceptance is conversion. Going back to the ABC’s of Salvation.

11 He came to His, and His own did not receive Him.

(John 1:11)

Justification comes when we decide not to be sick in sin any longer.

Go comes at us by opportunity to us during previent grace. God leaves choices to us. We can come to us via …

  1. Scripture
  2. Preacher
  3. Witnesses

Disciple brings us out of comfortable zone and into Christ. (Having the light shed upon us). Forms of these discipline include:

  1. Prayer
  2. Devotion
  3. Offering
  4. Fasting
  5. Worship
  6. Praising
  7. And more …

God loves us and always gives us encouragement. God’s love comes through people showing Christ like behavior. God’s most important love he showed us was giving us his son as a living sacrifice for our sins. That was Jesus dying on the Cross for our sins. God’s love is an Agape Love. Agape is Greek being God’s love (Christ’s love).

God’s justifying grace can cure our sins. We have to accept Christ as our personal savior. Justification changes the nature of the relationship with God. There are three forms of grace.

  1. Prevenient Grace
  2. Justifying Grace
  3. Sanctification Grace

Justifying Grace is just as if I never sinned. But to get that we must truly give our lives over to Christ. All have Sinned, Believe Jesus died for your sins and confess He is Lord and we have sinned. (Repent or turn away from your sins).

Think of it this way. Man’s healing will leave sores or scars. God’s healing will be complete. No blemish!

Reason most of us don’t change is we are comfortable with our own demons, we just cope or adapt. We think its todays world and its accepted. Wrong! It is clearly in the Bible how we ought to live. It doesn’t matter what the technology is etc. God laid down the laws and how we are to live. We need to trust in God and he will provide and take care of us.
