John 1

John 1. Today is day one of the 21 day Gospel of John challenge. Read chapter 1 of the Gospel of John. In this blog post I talk about that first chapter. #John1

As mentioned in the introduction for this Gospel of John Challenge, they say John is the best book of the Bible to start reading and learning more about Jesus Christ.

The first chapter of John, also starts off very similar to how Genesis does … In the Beginning …

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:1

John 1

The first verse stands out because it starts off just like Genesis 1 does … In the Beginning. This shows us that God has always been around and that Jesus was with God then too.

It also tells us that the Word was God. God gave us His Word, the Bible.

The first chapter of John also goes into introduction of John the Baptist.

If you have followed this blog, I actually have several John 1 post for the Verse of the Days verses.

Some of the headlines via Bible Gateway include …

  • Deity of Jesus Christ
  • The Witness John
  • The Word Made Flesh
  • The Testimony of John
  • Jesus’ Public Ministry, First Converts

There are 51 verses in this first chapter.
