Jesus Boat Review

How about a discovery from 1980’s a boat. Not just any boat, but a boat from the the Galilee area, a special boat, one believed to be around during the time of Jesus and perhaps maybe even Jesus was on this boat. A boat believed to be around 2,000 years old. This documentary has commentary from Franklin Graham, Joel Rosenberg, Joy Sekulaw, Skip Heitzig, & Chuck Smith.

I enjoyed this film. Watching as they discovered this boat and how they went to retrieve this boat. How they had to preserve this boat so it wouldn’t turn to powder and the events that happened during the digging and archeological work done. It was found between two nations each saying it belonged to each other. Find out where it ended up. Find out what happens when the people tried to touch the boat. I do truly believe that miracles and signs are shown when we dig up such relics like this Jesus Boat.

I think this was a great documentary. It seems the more and more finds the more and more we prove that Christ does exists and that He is the Son of God. Even those who do research to try to prove He doesn’t exists, usually become believers because the evidence is greater to show support that He does. But one day, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that God is who He says He is. See Romans 14:11 & Philippians 2:10

Usually in a documentary, I get bored and don’t want to watch it, but this was one that kept me interested. I think this would be a great one to show in a church, youth group or even your family. I plan to show this to the youth one night.

About the film a quote from their website: The astounding prophetic rebirth of Israel is told through the discovery of an ancient and unlikely artifact found under the shores of the Sea of Galilee. A first century fishing boat, identical to the boat Jesus sailed upon with his disciples, was destroyed in the years Israel was destroyed by the Romans, but found 2000 years later in a series of astonishing events that even scientists called a miracle. Mirroring Israel’s own story of devastation and survival, the boat from the time of Jesus, would rise against all odds and float upon the Sea of Galilee once more as the oldest surviving freshwater boat in the world. Featuring commentary from some of the great theologians of our day including Franklin Graham, Joel Rosenberg, Jay Sekulow, Skip Heitzig, Chuck Smith and more.
