Inspires me

Inspires me …

One person we ought to be inspired by is Jesus Christ. After all we are to be more Christ-like. Show a Christ-like love, attitude and everything toward others. Be a servant.

But as far as Christian men I believe there are a few Christian men that influenced me in my life. I would have to say as a teenager one of the pastors at the church I attended, Alice Bell Baptist Church influenced me a lot. Kenon Cureton. I even took notes during sermons then. I wished I could find those notes as well to share on my blog.

Another man who influenced me while I was a teen was my Scoutmaster, Gary Burchfield. He always gave some advice and encouragement. If it wasn’t for him, I do not believe I would have attained my rank of Eagle or even my God and Country award.

Now to the current. There are 2 that influence me. My pastor at Piedmont Baptist Church, Bob Neal and a fellow church member who just got his preacher license, Justin Breeden. Justin does preaching at nursing home, Samaritan House, Bible Studies and even at a jail. I enjoy hearing both men preach and willing to help wherever needed. I take notes, and plan to share them with you. These help me to inspire to continue to work toward my ministry mission. I feel lead to become a youth/social media minister. (one way is having this blog and sharing God’s Word).

Both of these men study as well at the place I plan to attend, Andersonville Theology Seminary. I would like to go and get my bachelors and then my Masters in Ministry.

But, as I said in the first part of this blog entry. We truly should model ourselves to the Lord, Jesus Christ. He set the example to live by. Yes, I know we all sin and are not sinless, but as Christians we should strive to sin less and be like Christ. We also need to be encouragers, to encourage others. Win others to Christ too. Share God’s love and what Christ did for us.
