I won! Radio giveaway! I remember one of the times I want something off the radio, WIVK. It was at work late at night, it was after midnight. I was working at The Knoxville Journal. I was the art director then. I just got done with the NASCAR page we printed. I heard WIVK (This was before I only listened to Christian music) asked who the 11th point position was.
Yes, this is another random memory that I had to share and write down. I am getting older you know.
So I looked it up. I called gave them the answer and won. They asked me if I looked it up I said yes. But they never asked me where I looked it up. Because I had access to the Associated Press. I ended up winning to unlimited passes to NASCAR Speedpark in Pigeon Forge, TN. That was in early 2000s.
I was able to win, because the newspaper I worked at, was not connected to that radio station group or any part of it.
I think I also one from another radio station wants Oak Ridge Boys tickets. I remember the concert being at a church. I don’t remember much about this one. I don’t even remember what radio station. I remember it was when I was in Michigan. This was in the early 2000s too.
I don’t think I want anything else on the radio, that I know of. This is another random memory that I figured I would share. I have won something off Facebook at Mellow Mushroom before. But, other than that, I cannot recall winning anything else. If I do, I will be sure to share that memory.
