I accepted Jesus vs Jesus Accepted Me

I accepted Jesus vs Jesus Accepted Me – One is the idea of man accepts Jesus while the other one is the idea that Jesus accepted man.

I accepted Jesus vs Jesus Accepted Me

I accepted Jesus puts salvation in the hands of man. As if it was something the man did to get the salvation. Me Centered! This idea makes it about the man.

Jesus accepted me puts salvation in the hands of Jesus. Jesus is the one that saves and changes. We can’t do it. With man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Jesus Centered. This idea makes it all about Jesus.

So which one?

So Jesus choose me, I didn’t choose Him. I couldn’t choose Him due to my sinful nature.  Nothing we did or can do. It is all about Him and what He has done. No one can come unless they are drawn. John 6:44.

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.”

This is Total Depravity. (Nothing we can do, we are not good, we are sinful – etc.).

We cannot come to the Father unless we are drawn. (Irresistible Grace).
