How to clean a dirty pan using vinegar, baking soda and lemons - Cleaning a dirty pan using vinegar, baking soda, and lemons is a simple and effective way to remove dirt, grime, and stains.

Materials needed:

  • Vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Lemons
  • Water
  • Scrub brush or sponge

Steps:

  1. Pour a generous amount of baking soda into the dirty pan.
  2. Add a small amount of water to the baking soda and stir to create a thick paste.
  3. Use a scrub brush or sponge to spread the baking soda paste around the dirt pan, making sure to cover all areas.
  4. Allow the baking soda paste to sit on the dirt pan for 10-15 minutes.
  5. While the baking soda paste is sitting, cut a lemon in half and squeeze the juice into a small bowl.
  6. Add an equal amount of vinegar to the lemon juice and mix well.
  7. After 10-15 minutes, use the scrub brush or sponge to scrub the pan, applying the lemon and vinegar mixture as needed.
  8. Rinse the pan thoroughly with water.
  9. Dry the pan with a clean cloth.

That’s it! Your dirty pan should now be clean and free of dirt and grime.

You do not need to heat the mixture of vinegar, baking soda, and lemons when cleaning a dirty pan. Simply follow the steps provided using the materials as they are, without heating them. Heating the mixture may cause it to bubble up and overflow, which can create a mess and potentially cause harm. Therefore, it’s best to use the ingredients at room temperature. (However you do see videos on TikTok where they do heat the mixture and it still worked)

Why does this work?

This cleaning method works because each of the ingredients used has specific properties that help to break down and remove dirt and grime from the dirt pan. Here’s how each ingredient works:

  1. Baking soda: Baking soda is a natural abrasive that helps to scrub away dirt and grime without scratching the surface of the dirt pan. It also has natural deodorizing properties, which can help to eliminate any unpleasant odors that may be present.
  2. Vinegar: Vinegar is a natural acid that helps to break down and dissolve mineral deposits and other tough stains that may be present on the dirt pan. It also has antibacterial properties, which can help to kill germs and bacteria that may be lurking in the dirt pan.
  3. Lemons: Lemons are acidic and can also help to break down tough stains and grime. They also have a fresh, clean scent that can help to eliminate any unpleasant odors that may be present.

By combining these ingredients and using them together, you can create a powerful cleaning solution that can help to remove even the toughest dirt and grime from your dirt pan. Additionally, this method is eco-friendly and does not involve the use of harsh chemicals, making it a safe and natural way to clean your dirty pan.

Other tricks

Here are a few additional tricks you can try when cleaning a dirty pan using vinegar, baking soda, and lemons:

  1. For particularly tough stains, you can sprinkle a little extra baking soda on the affected area and let it sit for a few minutes before scrubbing.
  2. If the dirt pan has a burnt-on layer of grime or grease, you can soak it in the vinegar and lemon juice mixture for a few hours before scrubbing to help break down the buildup.
  3. After cleaning the dirt pan, you can wipe it down with a small amount of vegetable oil to help prevent rust and keep it in good condition.
  4. If you want to add a fresh scent to your dirt pan, you can add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to the lemon and vinegar mixture before using it to clean.

Remember to always wear gloves when handling cleaning solutions, and test a small area of the dirty pan first before applying the solution to the entire surface.
