How I Learned To Cook

How I Learned To Cook – I share with how I learned how to cook.

How I Learned To Cook

I learned how to cook in The Boy Scouts of American and in Home Economics school. Plus, self doing at home.

How I Learned To Cook

In the Boy Scouts

I got to learn how to cook on an open fire, yes a fire pit … the camp fire! I even got my Cooking Merit badge.

In High School

I took two years of Home Economics. I took it because I loved to cook, not because it was full of girls. In the Home Economics class the first half was cooking and the second half was sewing. So I also got to learn how to use a sewing machine and make clothes! But, I enjoyed cooking. One of the things I remember cooking was homemade Buttermilk Biscuits and Homemade Macaroni and Cheese.

I even helped peer tutor the LRE (Learning Resource Education) class in Home Economics. One of the things I remember making was banana tree stumps. I remember it had bananas, carmel and granola. (something like that).

At Home

I also self-taught and self-done just cooking things at home. I love cooking, but couldn’t cook professionally! One of the youth at Piedmont said that is wierd Mr. Steve, you cooking and a guy. I said if I didn’t know how to cook, Amber and I would have starved. I told her, men can cook too. I even told her about how I learned to cook.

Thins I Love Cook

I love to make lasgna and chili just to name two things.

How did you learn to cook?
