Heavy Lifting Is What Jesus Did For You! Church sign Emmanuel Baptist in Jefferson City, TN.

I saw this church sign as I was heading home from my doctors on July 31, 2015. This is a church sign from Emmanuel Baptist Church in Jefferson City, TN.

This church sign reads …

“Heavy Lifting Is What Jesus Did For You!”

You may think and ponder, what heavy lifting did Jesus do?

Well one Jesus had to carry the cross. He carried a heavy cross in a weakened state. Remember he was beat, flogged and more. He had to carry this heavy cross in that condition.

Most of all he took the sins of the world. That was an extremely heavy burden to bear. Can you imagine, taking all the past, present and future sin and carrying it?

Jesus also told us He would be there with us. He is helping to carry the load. He is in the yoke with us.

So if anyone is to win a championship title in carrying weights, it would be Jesus. He carried the biggest load. A Load he didn’t deserve to carry, yet He carried it for us so we can live an ever lasting life with Him. To get this ever lasting life, we must accept Him.
