Got to see my dad after many years of not seeing him – Last saw him at my papaws funeral in 1998. Prior to that, not too sure when that was, I know I was a teenager.
So it has been around 21 years since I last saw him, as I mentioned at my Papaws funeral, his dad. Before that, I think I was a teenager or so.
We meet for lunch. The meeting went well too.
I have my wife to thank for that. She got in touch with him and then I got in touch with him. We have been communicating mostly on Facebook Messenger. I have got to talk to him on the phone a few times too.
It was a good meeting. I enjoyed getting to see him after all these years. I am looking forward to many more in the near future.

Oh yea, I also was able to give my dad my Eagle Scout Dad Pin. I attained Eagle in 1994. So that tells you how long it has been waiting to be given to my dad.
