God is my Rock, Fortress – Attribute of God – Day 5 – In this day of the 31 Days of the Attributes of God, it shares that God is our rock and fortress.
On Day 5, this challenge asked you to read 2 Samuel 2:32-24 and share what attribute of God you see. In this day, I see that God is my rock and fortress. The both are the same. Being strong, safe and secure.
I see my safety, protection, provisions and more are met in God.
32 “For who is God, besides the Lord?
2 Samuel 2:32-34
And who is a rock, besides our God?
33 “God is my strong fortress;
And He sets the blameless in His way.
34 “He makes my feet like hinds’ feet,
And sets me on my high places.
This also tells me that God will correct me too. He will set me on my high places.
God being my rock (#H6697 – cliff, stone, boulder, etc.) and my fortress (#H4581 – Strength, Safety, Protection, Refuge, Stronghold, etc.), reminds me of the children’s story the 3 Little Pigs and how each one built a different type of house. The one made of brick, similar to rock, stood.
In the Bible when accomplishments were completed, they often stacked huge rocks on top of each other as a reminder.
