On June 10, 2017, I passed this church sign and had to take an picture and share it with my readers. As I enjoy sharing with you church signs I come across that I like. This church sign is from Helton Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Rutledge, TN. This church sign reads, “God didn’t call us to go camping, He called us to go fishing.”
When Camping
If you think about it, this is so true. When we go camping, we are just sitting around relaxing and doing nothing. When you go camping, you usually stay in one spot. You usually don’t leave that spot. Another thing about camping is, you usually go camping to get away from it all. You don’t go to where the people are.
When fishing
When we are fishing, we are actually doing something. We are seeking something … Fish! Not only that, fishing also requires patience. But in the Bible we are told to be fisher of men. That means we must go and share the gospel! That means reeling in the lost.When you go fishing, you will try different spots and move around. You actually go to where the fish are.
So lets go be fisher of men and win souls for the Lord!
