Food Show: Go Hungry; Leave Full

I went to my first Food City Food Show today the 19th of September of 2014. My mom took my daughter and I. We ate first, big mistake, lesson learned. So I figured I would make a blog post for those who plan to go to any future Food City Food Shows.

The best way to go is hungry because you will leave full from all the fresh samples you get, plus other goodies and coupons. Over 150 Food Vendors were present. Plus, places give you recipes to use with their products as well.

One thing I didn’t get to watch, is the live cooking shows. They even have the top 3 cake decorators present decorating cakes.

Food City provides a big big for you. At this show you get pamphlets, coupons, sample products that are wrapped and much more. We even got potatoes, onions, apples, bananas. Even samples of coffee, soda, energy drinks and more.

Almost everything they sell at Food City was there, donuts, ice cream, meats like deli meats and breakfast sausage. They even cook the samples there and you can eat them right there like pizza, chicken tenders and more.

With that said, I would bring some kind of container to put them all in, because those you can not easily put into the bad, nor keep holding in your hands. I would recommend a few of the to go boxes you get from a restaurant.

You may want to bring you a small freezer pack, because you get samples of ice cream products. This year, I got a brown cow, S’more ice cream bar and even a moon pie ice cream sandwich (brand new item), plus cup samples of Kay’s Ice Cream and Blue Bell Ice Cream.

You get tons of coupons for products that are in the store, so you can save money in the future. In 2014, it cost $8 if you buy tickets at Food City or $10 at the door. I think Food City does this Food Show once a year. In 2014 it was Sept. 19, 20014 and Sept. 20, 2014.

I even handed out some Gospel of John books with Tracts inside of them at the show.

They said you cannot bring wagons, luggage, wheeled carts, etc in for your safety and the safety of others.

Remember, if you go, go hungry because you will leave full of sampling products there at the show, plus some you can take home and enjoy later. If you leave hungry, it is your own fault, there are plenty of samples for everyone, even the pickiest eater, I should know I am a very picky eater.

If you are on a diet, it may not be the best place for you to go, but I still will recommend that you go to a food show. I am looking forward to going next year. Take the family and enjoy some good samples, best of all a great way to try things you may not have tried before. Like a Try it Before You Buy it Deal.

If you have been to this food show or similar food show, please feel free to give your comments, tips, tricks etc.

My mom paid for my ticket to get in, this was not a trade-out review or anything nor did Food City give me anything for this review, I did this review on my own free will.
