The End of the World?

End of the World?
End of the World?

I have been seeing a lot of talk about the End of the World will come this September. It will occur during the last and final blood moon in September 2015.

I know that we have had several predictions of false prophets in the past claiming God told them when the world would end. I know at the end of 1999 to start of 2000 was one. Then there was again around 12/21/2012. I know from the past there has been numerous of false claims.

Just so you know those who claim the world will end on certain days and times are false prophets.

Yes, the world will end, but no one knows the day the Bible is clear on that.

The Bible clearly states that no man knows when Jesus will return. This is a quick run down to let you know that is false!

“No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Matthew 24:36 NIV

Even Mark shares the verse above showing that no man knows the time when Jesus will return. The Bible also says the Lord will come like a thief in the night.

for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:2

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. 2 Peter 3:10

The Bible also tells us there will be many false prophets.

“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.Matthew 7:15

There will be rumors of wars.

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Matthew 24:6

The Rapture still has to occur as well. Read through the book of Revelation it will explain the rapture. Even stories of the Anti-Christ too.

but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. 1 John 4:3

And those died in Christ will rise first then the rest will be called up.

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

So when the world will end? No one knows! No man knows. Only God knows when this will occur, but in the mean time we need to be ready for the coming of our Lord.

We are living at the end of times, we just won’t know when that day is. If someone tells you they know when the world will end or about when it will end they are not of God and they are lying and they are a false prophet. I shared Bible references above that clearly state only God, the Father knows, Not even Jesus Christ the Son knows or the angels.

We also should live as if Christ could come this very second. We are never promised tomorrow. Proverbs 27:1

  1. We are being fed with so many different theories about the end of the world and so many spurious predictions as to when it is going to happen that whenever we hear about another prediction we tend to treat it with sarcasm at best and much disdain at worst.

The prevalence of false predictions among us is not good for people who needs to be convinced that the world as we know it will come to an end one day and that they have a duty to prepare for it.

Unfortunately, it has now become a situation where those who are warning people about the Second Coming are regarded as mere alarmists and the prophets of doom and gloom. But that does not mean that the end of the world is cancelled, postponed, or placed on pause.

There are many false prophets around and their portfolio responsibility is to undermine the gospel and cause the true witnesses out there to lose credibility. Regardless of the many failed predictions the countdown to the end of the world is still in motion and it will become a reality that each one of us will have to face, just that we know not the hour.
