Eeyore’s Birthday is a day-long festival celebrating the birthday of Eeyore. Yes, the Eeyore from Winnie-the-Pooh, the talking donkey. Or is it? #EeyoresBirthday
Eeyore’s Birthday
This day is held annually on the last Saturday of April.
In 2020, that will be on April 25th. It is celebrated in Austin, TX at Austin’s Pease District Park. It has been held since 1963.

Future Dates:
- 2021 -April 24
- 2022 -April 30
- 2023 – April 29
- 2024 – April 27
Looking at picture of the festival, it doesn’t seem to have much to do with that lovable donkey or Winnie the Pooh. It seems to be is full of food and music (such as drum circles) and wildness. Mostly attended by hippies. Unless someone can prove me wrong. Of course, I have never been to this either.
However, on Eeyore’s real birthday …
He is given an empty honey jar from Pooh for keeping things in, a popped red balloon from Piglet to keep in the pot, and a note from Owl.
Eeyore first appeared on Winnie the Pooh stuff in 1926, but in Disney’s version not until 1966.
