Dunkin Donuts dropping Donuts from Name
This reminds me of iHOP Changing its name to IHOB. Just a marketing scheme to try to bring in more business and put their name out there. See it worked! It caused me to blog about it. Part of this comes from an emphasized that the Dunkin’-only name is a continuation of the “America Runs on Dunkin’” campaign. That campaign has been going on for a long time now. But they just now decide to remove donuts.
They removed it because you can dunk more than donuts like coffee and other items they sell. I wonder how long it will be before they switch back and put Donuts back in their name. They will still serve their signature doughnuts (donuts). The company simply stated “less is more” as part of removing donuts.
Some stores are in the works of demoing the new signage with Dunkin’ on it.
