As a dog returns to his own vomit, So a fool repeats his folly. Proverbs 26:11
A Dog Returns To His Own Vomit …
How can we be just like this dog?
A Dog Returns To His Own Vomit – That is simple, we know that dogs will often get sick and vomit. They will walk way and often come back and eat their own vomit. We as Christians can do the same thing with our sin.
We partake in a particular sin and then walk away and then later come right back to that sin and sin again. The Bible tells us doing this is foolish and we repeat our folly. We are driven by the flesh and tend to stay to what we like.
Yes to us, it seems gross to see or ear about a dog eating his own vomit. But God sees that with us when we keep going back to our sin. He sees it as if we are a dog that returns to its own vomit.
To God when we sin that is like us being sick and vomiting. We will often walk away. Then next thing we know we are right back to where were in that sin again.
God talks about vomiting us out of his mouth because we are lukewarm and not doing as He Commands. We are told that if we Love Him We will keep His Commands. See John 14:15 and John 15:14.
So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Revelation 3:16
God wants us to repent, or turn away, not to come back, not to even look back either. We just have a change in mind. A Change in direction not to come back. Only God can change us, we cannot change ourselves. We must surrender our all to Christ.
When you feel like you keep turning back and going to that sin, just think about that dog that eats his own vomit.

In typography, a widow is a single word, a short line, or a few words that appear at the end of a paragraph just above another paragraph or column. This creates an awkward and unattractive visual gap in the text and interrupts the flow of reading. #widow The post Widow appeared first on SteveZ DesignZ.
