Do You Believe? Movie Review & Trailer

My mom took my daughter and I out to see the new movie, Do You Believe?

Do You Believe? Movie Review & Trailer

This movie really was very thought out. It also was full of Bible and Jesus Christ. It dealt with apologetics, sharing your faith, family and much more. The question is do you really believe what Jesus Done on the Cross or do you just know what He done? We must truly know what Christ done on the cross. Watch this movie as the stories of 12 people unfold in this very touching movie. You will need Kleenex. I will say that. I cried a lot. My daughter even said she has never cried so much in a movie. This movie helps to point that the answer we need is Jesus Christ. So far I do believe this is one of the best family faith based Christian movies out there. I encourage you to take your family to go see this movie. Maybe your church group or youth group to go see it too.

[pullquote]“If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.” Luke 9:23-24[/pullquote]

Do You Believe? came out to movies March 20, 2015. The showing I saw didn’t have much people in it. I figured it would be sold out, like God’s Not Dead was. Since the same people put out this movie. You will recognize a lot of the cast from other Pure Flix films. This is a quick synopsis taken from the web site.

A dozen different souls—all moving in different directions, all longing for something more. As their lives unexpectedly intersect, they each are about to discover there is power in the Cross of Christ … even if they don’t believe it. Yet.

When a local pastor is shaken to the core by the visible faith of an old street-corner preacher, he is reminded that true belief always requires action. His response ignites a faith-fueled journey that powerfully impacts everyone it touches in ways that only God could orchestrate.1

The Newsboys song We Believe is the theme song for this movie.

Like I said, this movie review was done on my own. I didn’t get a free pass from the makers of Do You Believe? My mother  paid for mine and my daughters pass. My mom wanted to see this movie and she knew that I did too. This movie leaves you really think and reflect on Do You Believe? Do you believe in the Cross and what Christ truly done for you? Are you willing to share the Cross with others? Are you willing to take up your own Cross? Would you die for Christ? If you were convicted of being a Christian, Would there be enough evidence to convict you? Do you believe in miracles of God?

A story of forgiveness. A story of redemption. A story of unconditional love. The Cross it will cost you! Let the Cross be a reminder of the amazing gift Christ has given you. The cross should also inspire us too.

In short I do believe it was a powerful Biblical sound movie. I guess since it was so close to being Biblical that is why not many people were at it. If it was a secular type of movie, it would have been sold out on day one of the showing. It is sad to see that secular stuff gets more money and attention than things of Jesus Christ. It should be the other way around. That just shows where our priorities are. So what does it mean to believe?

Watch this movie and how it unfolds for these 12 people. Do they truly believe? Can you relate to anyone in the story line?

Updated August 8, 2015. Do You Believe? Just came out on DVD August 4, 2015. I got to rewatch it on DVD. I think I cried more this time than in the movies. Make sure you have plenty of Kleenex. I do believe this movie is powerful! It does make you think about the Power of the Cross.

Let me leave you with this question … Do You Believe?
