Do not compare yourself To others – If you do, you will always look down on yourself and/or others. We have to remember we are uniquely and wonderfully made by God. We are made different than everyone else! #BGBG2
Too often we try to compare ourselves to others. If only I was better than them. I am glad I don’t do what they do. The list can go on and on.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Psalm 139:14 NASB
We often compare other people like we do when we want to go purchase an item. Just like those items, they are all made different too. Like the Verses Game. This Vs. That.
If we all were the same, life would be boring. Everyone doing the same thing. It also might be a good thing there is not more of me around, just saying. We have to have some variety!
No one is the same. We can wish or hope we were like someone else, but God created us the way we are for a purpose. That purpose is to give Him Glory Alone. It is also for His benefit! Not ours!
4 Don’t compare yourself with others. Just look at your own work to see if you have done anything to be proud of. 5 You must each accept the responsibilities that are yours.
Galatians 6:4-6 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
God gave us all different gifts too. Some may be similar, but the method to use is different. These gifts are used for the Glory of God Alone. Plus, they help us to make up the Body of Christ. We cannot be the body if we all are the same. We must be different.
There is nothing wrong with being different either! Often, being different is good! It sets us apart. It also is what makes us special and unique.
When we do compare ourselves to others, we are missing out on blessings and even chances to witness. We cannot focus on the Gospel when we are comparing ourselves.
Besides we are only accountable for ourselves! That other person is accountable for them self. We never know what is going on in their life either. Sometimes there could be something hidden that we don’t see. Remember we answer to God on Judgement Day not man.

How about this … don’t compare yourself to other Christians, compare yourself to Christ.
