Clear the Shelters – Hundreds of animals across East Tennessee are looking for a forever home. Many NBC and Telemundo owned stations are partnering with local animal shelters to host Clear the Shelters, a nationwide push to encourage pet adoption. #CleartheShelters

One such local NBC Stations is 10News (WBIR) – Knoxville, TN.

This will be the fifth annual adoption drive will raise awareness about the importance of pet adoption, and the overcrowding issues that local animal shelters typically experience in the summer because of spring litters.

The date is set to August 17, 2019
from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., an all day event!

About Clear the Shelters

NBC and Telemundo owned stations are teaming up with hundreds of shelters across the country to host Clear the Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption drive on Saturday, August 17, 2019 to help find loving homes for animals in need. More than 250,000 pets found their forever homes since 2015.

More than 1,400 shelters and rescues have already registered to participate in this year’s campaign.

This is an amazing picture….these kennels are empty!! We want to thank everyone who participated in our Clear the Shelter event. Because of you, we were able to place 25 (Yes, 25!) deserving animals into their furever homes! ❤️❤️❤️
