These rolled pastry treats are made with cinnamon and sugar are very yummy. They often topped with a cream cheese or other type of icing. Sometimes sprinkled with nuts like walnuts or pecans.

Cinnamon Bun Day

Just another name for this foodie holiday!

This day was started in Sweden by Hembakningsrådet (Swedish Homebaking Society) in 1999 as Kanelbullens Dag. This day is also know as Cinnamon Bun Day. 2019 marks the 20th Anniversary. Which is observed annually on October 4.

Swedes eat a lot of cinnamon buns, with one 2010 study claiming that each Swede eats about 316 cinnamon buns a year—and that’s not even counting those made at home!

Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls are one of the best kinds of these pastry treats.

When I worked at Domino’s, a couple of the managers would make us all cinnamon rolls, using the pan pizza dough and the cinnamon sugar mixture and butter that Domino’s used. Those were very good too. (No they didn’t use the garlic butter! – Just saying!) They were not a menu item, but should have been.

Couple Recipes for Cinnamon Rolls

So go out and eat a cinnamon roll on this day. Like we need an excuse to.

I also like to buy the canned cinnamon roll dough and use them in my Belgium Waffle Maker. They cook really fast that way. Don’t rely on the auto done feature, or it will over cook them!
