Lion & Lamb

As mentioned in Isaiah 11:6-7, a metaphor for

peace and serenity during the future reign of the Messiah. Jesus was called the Lamb of God in John 1:29 and was also known as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah in Revelation 5:5, who was qualified to open the scroll that was sealed with seven seals.

Fish

No verses given, but is part of the Ichthys.

Ichthys (Greek for fish), is an acronym – (Iēsous Christos, Theou Yios, Sōtēr) Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior, Also a secret sign of early believers, in the midst of hostile non-believers.

Lilly

A symbol of pure, virginal love. And in the Sermon of the Mount, the “lilies of the field” are praised as models of the strong faith.

Banner

A symbol of rejoicing and of victory.

Butterfly

A symbol of the resurrection and eternal life. The butterfly soars upward with a new body … so too are Christ’s followers borne to a new life.

Grapevine

Expressing the relationship between God and His people. “I am vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringith forth much fruit…”
