I like both Red Beef and White Chicken. Plus, I do like to add cheese to mine. I will eat a bowl or a cup with crackers, oyster crackers, Tortilla chips or corn chips. I prefer oyster crackers or crushed up crackers. But, I don’t put them all in at once, I don’t like the crackers to get soggy.

When I make some for myself, I have used Hot Spicy V8, instead of tomato sauce. Red Chili is often used with either, or pinto beans or kidney beans. Sometimes other red beans are used. White Chicken Chili, often used with Great Northern Beans.

The Start of this Great Stew Dish

Believed to originate in Northern Mexico or Southern Texas area. However, In writings from 1529, the Franciscan friar, Bernardino de Sahagún described chili pepper-seasoned stews being consumed in the Aztec capital, Tenochtitlan, now the location of Mexico City. But it was the San Antonio Chili Stand, in operation at the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago, helped popularize chili by giving many Americans their first taste of it. According to WikiPedia.

The Best Take Out Chili

  • Chili’s
  • Texas Road House

I like the fact that both Chili’s and Texas Road House will let me add red onions to my chili. Of course, they are raw and not cooked in it, but still good to add.

Firehouse Subs and Wendy’s I think is just okay. Circle S in Morristown, TN was blah, I do not think I will eat it again.

In someways this is a great way to use leftovers and put it into a pot!

Today, this can be used with other dishes like topping a hot dog, hamburger, french fries, macaroni and cheese, and so much more dishes!
