Chicken or Egg?

Which came first? The Chicken or the Egg? Biblical Answer!

The Bible is very clear … The chicken.

See Genesis 1:20-23, below

20 Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.” 21 So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23 So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

It didn’t say egg was created and later hatched. God created the chicken then the chicken laid eggs. Chicken would be in the birds family class. When it says fowl, that means winged.

Even Answers in Genesis will tell you the adult chicken was created first. AIG gives this quote on their website. “God created mature birds with the ability to reproduce. So the bird was first, ready to lay eggs.”

I do not believe there is much more to put other there, as it is plain as day in the Bible which came first in the creation story found in Genesis.
