Celebration of Life Day

They are a gift from God after all!

Each child and each life is to be held as a precious gift with the highest respect and dignity.

Behold, children are a [gift of the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.
How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them;
They will not be ashamed
When they speak with their enemies in the gate
.

Psalm 127:3-5

This day is held annually on January 22. This day might go hand and hand with the anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

So let’s celebrate life! God is the one who gives us life! He is the one who made us, knitted us in our mother’s womb.

13 For You created my innermost parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully formed in the depths of the earth;
16 Your eyes have seen my formless substance;
And in Your book were written
All the days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.

Psalm 139:13-16 NASB

Life is a beautiful, magnificent thing, even to a jellyfish.
