We had a White Christmas in East Tennessee

The snow began falling around around 4:30 pm on Christmas Eve. Prior to that it was very heavy rain all day. The snow continued throughout the evening.

Then it snowed a little more on Christmas Day, so we saw a White Christmas here in East Tennessee.

We did get a good bit of snow too. Some areas I measured showed 8 to 10 inches in the grass. Other people said they got maybe 5 inches.

Check out this blog post with Snowy Day Bible verses.

Reports say it’s been 10 years since that happened here, yet in 2017 it was partially white as we had a light dusting then.

The Knoxville and surrounding areas has only had seven white Christmases in the last 110 years, according to National Weather Service records.
