Love never gives up, love forgives

Ephesians 4:2 K-Love Verse
Ephesians 4:2 K-Love Verse

Love never gives up. God loves us and He never gives up on us. He loved us so much He sent his Only Son, Jesus to die on the Cross for our sins. Jesus paid our debt to have ever lasting life with Jesus. (John 3:16). With that being said, we should never give up on anyone and continued to show them love despite if you get shown love or not. Always do good to them and set the example of a Christ like attitude. I like the Bible verse of the Day for K-Love for 2/23/2013. Ephesians 4:2. Below is the The New Living Translation version of that verse.

Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.

We are also to forgive each other as Christ has forgiven us. If we don’t forgive others, Christ will not forgive us. Matthew 6:14 shows us this. This comes after the Lord’s Prayer. Our model prayer on how we should pray. (See Matthew 6:5-13) 1 Peter 4:8 also tells us that love covers a multitude of sin. That shows love helps forgive. Since Christ forgave us doesn’t it just make sense to forgive others, that will help us be more Christ-like.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love —1 John 4:18

1 Corinthians 13:8 reminds us all about what Love is.

So let us show love and forgiveness for one another. Show a Christ-like (Agape Love) for all. Regardless of the wrong, sin they commit against us. Let us forgive all those who do us wrong and show them love.

Love & Forgiveness Quotes

“When we don’t forgive, we’re not hurting the other person. We’re not hurting the company that did us wrong. We’re not hurting God. We’re only hurting ourselves.”
– Joel Osteen, Your Best Life Now: 7 Steps to Living at Your Full Potential

“Many people ruin their health and their lives by taking the poison of bitterness, resentment and unforgiveness. Matthew 18:23-35 tells us that if we do not forgive people, we get turned over to the tortures. If you have a problem in this area or have ever had one, I’m sure you bear witness with what I’m saying. It’s torture to have hateful thoughts toward another person rolling around inside your head.”
Joyce Myers, The Poison of Unforgiveness

Love is incompatible with prejudice and resentment and anger and bitterness and unforgiveness. If you live with constant jealousy and fear, you need to check your “love status.” What is it that you are not believing about God’s love for you? What hidden motives and desires and attitudes are keeping you from experiencing God’s love?”
Paula White, Unconditional Love

I follow the 3 above people I quoted. I have them on my Facebook. They post very inspriring quotes on their Facebook wall. So that is why choose to share a quote from each of them on this topic.

After I posted this, I also found the below quote. The author is unknown. If you know who it is please share with me who in a comment, please..

In the blink of an eye, everything can change. So forgive often and love with all your heart. You may never know when you may not have that chance again.

That’s so true. We don’t know when our time is up or our lived one. We are not promised tomorrow. So don’t worry about tomorrow as Matthew 6:24 shows us. Plus Christ could come back any day. No one knows the day nor the hour.

While you are at it, you should check out this very moving forgiveness scene in the movie October Baby.

Do you find it hard to forgive and love people? What do you do to make it easier? Anything you wish to share or add? Your feedback is appreciated.
