Nametag Day

Nametag Day / Name Tag Day – We all have more than likely worn one of these an event or job. We usually see them say HELLO! My name is.

Nametag Day

Nametag Day

I know at my church when we do the Share Your Love Luncheon around Valentine’s Day we wear one of these. I have I believe four of them that I kept with my name on it from that event.

Sometimes we may see work nametags like that at a fast food restaurant or business. I even have a name tag for this blog ministry I had done up.

Two Dates

I see two dates for this holiday the First Saturday in June and the Thursday of the first full week in March.

“A human being’s name is a principle component of his person, perhaps a piece of his soul.”

—Sigmund Freud

The Start of the day

Per Days of the Year

An onomatology hobbyist named Jerry Hill decided that names were just not getting as much recognition as they deserved, seeing as how much of a vital role they play in all of our lives all day, every day. Hill’s fascination with names, however, had actually started years earlier, when he was just a child. In fact, Name Tag Day is not just a day, it’s a just a part of an entire week called Celebrate Your Name Week (CYNW), devoted to celebrating the names our parents gave us, be they beautiful, unusual, or original, and discovering more about their origins.

Days of the Year is th eone that says the day is in March.

According to nametagday.com

A name tag says you are open to talk.  This event is held in a few select cites a social media experiment.

This site claims the day is in June.

Reminds me of song

This day also reminds me of Matthew West’s song Hello My Name.
