Museum of Salt and Pepper Shakers (Review)

While my wife and I was in Gatlinburg, we noticed a building that said The Salt and Pepper Shaker Museum. So we decided to go. It cost us $3 each for admission. If you bought something, you can use that price of admission, $3, toward a gift. Children under 12 are free. I figured I would feature the Museum of Salt and Pepper Shakers for this weeks Travel Thursday.

The museum outside says they are the only Salt and Pepper Shaker Museum in the world, but the lady inside told us the woman who’s collection is in there, has one in Spain too with about the same amount of Salt Shakers and Pepper Shakers. So they may want to take that down or reword it to say, one of two.

I was very impressed with all the kinds of Salt Shakers and Pepper Shakers! All kinds of themes and decorative ones. I can see why this is a collection of someone.

At the end, be sure to pin your location on the map! They even show you past maps of where visitors came from too!

I highly recommend everyone to stop buy and at least see this museum once in your life. You will be amazed at all the kinds of Salt and Pepper Shakers there are. I am sure there are many more that is not in this collection. Seeing this one, I can only imagine how the one in Spain is too!

Even find some factoids about Salt and Pepper.

This museum was even featured on Food Network’s Unwrapped.

Take a sneak peak and check out these pictures!

Which includes a virtual tour, but let me tell you, its better to see in person that that virtual tour!
