Just Ice or Justice?

Just Ice recently came to my mind of an old t.v. show, Night Court (show aired around 1984-1991). I remember one episode that dealt with Just Ice, or so that is what they thought the person wanted when Harry Stone, Judge found a 50-year-old trail case file that said “Just Ice” written on it. After they dug deeper into the case, the found out it wasn’t just ice he wanted, he wanted justice. When you put just ice together as one word it becomes justice. This is the only episode, I remember from this show when I was a teenager.

Just Ice or Justice?

Combining the two words to make one, now gives a different meaning. Instead of wanting something frozen, they want something else.

According to Dictionary.com – Justice means righteous, equitableness, moral rightness, just conduct, judgment of persons or causes by judicial process and more like that. These all show a form of being right or correct.

Just Ice or Justice?

No one is Righteous

Note it says righteous. The Bible says in mans eyes there are things that seem right, but they are not. (Proverbs 14:12 – Proverbs 16:25 – Proverbs 21:2). We also must also realize there is none righteous. No one seeks after God. (Psalm 14:1-3 – Psalm 53:1-3 – Romans 3:10-12). Not even myself is righteous by my own deeds. We all are sinners! (Romans 3:23).

Jesus was the only righteous man

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.The only person that was righteous, upright living, lived by God’s standards and was sinless is Jesus Christ. As 2 Corinthians 5:21 tells us.

So to be righteous (or justice), it is nothing we can do, We cannot earn our salvation. It is all about what Jesus done for us on the Cross of Calvary. Christ died once and for all to save us. (Romans 10:4). Jesus won the victory over sin and death. Jesus’s death allowed many to become righteous. (Romans 5;19).

We can only get it through Jesus Christ, we must believe and have faith. No one can keep the laws of God. Remember we answer to God in the end, not man. This gift we are given comes from God and God alone. (Philippians 3:9)

Search Me

Sit back and reflect and allow God to examine you (or search you) and see if there be any wicked way in you. Allow God to shine that light and reveal that to you. Don’t buck up to God, allow Him to use you and work through you to bring that change that only He can do. (Psalm 139:23-24)

Righteous Blood of Christ saves us

So when you look at just ice, may it think of the justice that God has give us through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is a free gift from God! It is free for us, but tt cost God, His one and only Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus died on the Cross for us. His blood was shed for us to save us. When God sees His children, you must be born again, all God will see is the righteous blood of Jesus Christ imputed on us. Our sins are forgiven. (See Forgiveness) They are no longer remembered, cast in the Sea of Forgetfulness and as far as the East is to the West. So God can make that wrong turned to right. He is the the only one that truly gives true justice.
