Follow the Leader

Follow the Leader – We remember that game Follow the Leader when we were kids right? #FollowTheLeader

Follow the Leader

On our Sunday, August 12, 2018 Worship Service during the Kid’s Only, our pastor’s wife, Amy Neal talked to the children about Follow the Leader. It made me think of doing a blog post on that.

Follow the Leader

In that game, who ever was the leader we had to follow them and do what they do. If they raised their left hand we had to raise our left hand. If the leader walked to the right, we had to walk to the left. There was only one leader and the rest were followers.

The Bible tells us to follow Jesus Christ. Jesus is our leader. In Matthew 4:19, Jesus told the men to follow them.

And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

So we ought to follow Jesus. We ought to do what Jesus does. Love the things Jesus loves. Say the things Jesus does. Our lives should show that we follow Jesus.

Unlike the childhood game, the leader there might lead you astray or do something you don’t want to do. Jesus our ultimate leader will never leave us. Nor will He forsake us. He won’t lead us to do things we don’t want to do.

  1. Wonderful article! 🙂 Aside from Him, I believe that it is also important that you have someone to help and guide you along the way. This is why I am so grateful that I have a great mentor, who is also a Filipino motivational speaker, that helps and guides me all throughout. Thank you so much for sharing this!

    1. That is why iron sharpens iron. Why we need each other. To learn, support and encourage each other. When one is weak, He gives us someone to build us up. That is why his yoke is easy. He is always there for us. Sometimes with the help of a fellow brother of sister. Thanks for the comment.
