The Divine Record-keeper:

Throughout the Bible, we witness instances where God has meticulously recorded significant events in the lives of His people. From the stories of creation and the patriarchs to the miracles of Jesus and the early church, God consistently reveals Himself as the ultimate chronicler. Psalm 139:16 beautifully expresses this truth, “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Our heavenly Father is not only present in every moment but also carefully preserving the memory of our lives.

The Scroll of Remembrance:

Malachi 3:16 speaks of a precious concept – a scroll of remembrance – that is written before God for those who fear Him and honor His name. This is a testament to God’s heart of love, where He treasures the faithfulness, devotion, and acts of righteousness of His people. Like a loving parent cherishing their child’s achievements, God captures our heartfelt prayers, our acts of kindness, and our moments of obedience within the sacred scroll.

God’s Unfailing Love:

In the Old Testament, we see countless examples of God’s unwavering love and faithfulness to His people, despite their shortcomings. The Holy Scroll of Remembrance serves as a reminder that God does not forget our struggles, our pain, or our triumphs. He is always with us, and His love endures forever (Psalm 136). This truth should bring us great comfort, knowing that we are never alone and that our loving Father is continuously scrapbooking our lives with His tender care.

A Call to Remember:

Just as God keeps a record of our lives, we are also called to remember His goodness and faithfulness. Throughout the Bible, we are encouraged to recall God’s mighty deeds and promises, and to pass down these testimonies to future generations (Psalm 78:4). When we remember God’s faithfulness, it strengthens our faith and deepens our relationship with Him.

Conclusion:

As Christians, we can take solace in the fact that God is not only our Creator and Redeemer but also our loving Scrapbooker. He treasures every moment of our lives, crafting a beautiful narrative of His faithfulness and love. The Holy Scroll of Remembrance stands as a testament to God’s intimate involvement in our lives and serves as an invitation to reflect on His goodness. Let us remember to cherish God’s eternal scrapbooking and strive to walk faithfully in His loving embrace.

20th anniversary of the powerful film, “The Passion of the Christ.” In 2004, director Mel Gibson brought to the big screen a visceral and unflinching portrayal of the final hours of Jesus Christ. The film, aptly titled “The Passion of the Christ,” chronicles the agony, betrayal, arrest, torture, and crucifixion of Jesus. Here are some key points to reflect upon:
  • No Bones About It — Jesus is Alive!
The phrase ‘No Bones About It’ is often used as well to state a fact with no doubt meaning Christ arose from the dead His bones were never found! Jesus Christ is surely alive!
  • Maundy Thursday (Holy Thursday)
Maundy Thursday we don’t hear about this day too much, especially as a Baptist. Holy Week, that starts on Palm Sunday, week before the resurrection of Christ. Maundy Thursday falls the day before Good Friday and Easter. This is just a short write up on this day. #MaundyThursday #HolyThursday
  • Searching for Christ
Why do we go searching for Christ as if He is lost and someone to be found. We have it wrong it’s the other way around, Christ is seeking us who is lost so we can be found!
  • Spy Wednesday
Spy Wednesday or known as Holy Wednesday or even known as Great and Holy Wednesday. Sometimes known as Good Wednesday. This is the Wednesday that leads up to Easter. Part of Holy Week. #SpyWedneday #HolyWednesday #GoodWednesday
