New Price Cap:

Dollar Tree will now offer items at a maximum price of $7 in some of its stores. This is a significant increase from the previous cap of $5, which was set less than a year ago.

Expanded Assortment:

Across 3,000 stores, Dollar Tree plans to expand its multi-price assortment by adding over 300 items at various price points, ranging from $1.50 to $7.

The base price for items will increase to $1.50. Dollar Tree aims to strike a balance between affordability and offering more diverse products.

Why the Change?:

The price adjustments allow Dollar Tree to introduce new products and integrate multi-price merchandise into its stores. Shoppers can expect to find a mix of items, including $5 bags of dog food alongside traditional $1.50 pet treats and toys.

Dollar Tree, which also owns Family Dollar, recently also announced the closure of more than 1,000 Family Dollar stores nationwide. This move is part of their ongoing efforts to streamline operations and optimize their store portfolio.
