God is Good - Attribute of God - Day 16 - on this day we had to read two verses in the 31 Days of the Attributes of God. James 1:17 and Jeremiah 32:17-19.

17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

James 1:17 NASB

17 ‘Ah Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You, 18 who shows lovingkindness to thousands, but repays the iniquity of fathers into the bosom of their children after them, O great and mighty God. The Lord of hosts is His name; 19 great in counsel and mighty in deed, whose eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men, giving to everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds;

Jeremiah 32:17-19 NASB

There are a lot of attributes here …

  • Lovingkindness
  • Love
  • Kindness
  • Powerful
  • Corrective
  • Good
  • Perfect
  • Unchanging
  • Creator
  • Judge
  • and more

I’ve noticed in this writing and reading challenge, it seems that some of the attributes repeat showing more verses of those same attributes prior shown.

I am glad that everything good is from God. I also remember in the Bible what man means for evil, God has good to come out of it. I am also glad He is unchanging.

I am also glad there is nothing too difficult for God. He can do anything! Plus, with his outstretched hands around us, you can feel His love and warmth.

God will also not let evil go unpunished.

A sport that I like is football. For some reason as I post this blog post, “It’s Good!” comes to my mind. As in the field goal or punt kick went through the goal post pylon.

However, God’s goodness goes way beyond that. It is so much more than that football earning extra points for the team. His goodness is mensurable. It is without limit, that means it will not deplete. It is always Good and He will never miss!
