Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day

Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day – A day for those of us who enjoy popping those bubbles on bubble wrap. Keep Popping!

Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day

Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day

Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day is held the last Monday in January of each year, Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day.  Founded by the Sealed Air Corp. I am not sure when the holiday was started.

Bubble Wrap® doesn’t only keep packed items from breaking, it can be an entertaining and creative material to use in many applications. Bubble Wrap is used as a packing material, craft item and as a popular way for children (and adults) to amuse themselves by popping the bubbles.

Who doesn’t like to pop those bubbles in bubble wrap? After all it is very fun and can relieve stress!

Each year Sealed Air, Bubble Wrap hosts a ‘Young Inventor’ award that encourages them to find ways to use Bubble Wrap outside of packaging. I have seen coats and body suits made from Bubble Wrap.

Did you know Bubble Wrap came about by two Engineers Marc Chavannes and Alfred Fielding, who fused two shower curtains together in 1956?

In 2021, that falls on January 25.
