An Adult Child

I am now the father of an adult child. My daughter turns 18.

HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY AMBER!

Adult Child

Amber you are now an adult child! Yes, I used the word child, because to me you are my child, my daughter. No matter how old you get, you will always be my child. I am very proud of the woman you have become. I know it has not been easy. But remember God was always there for us. God always provided for us! God will continue to be there for you and He will always continue to provide for His children.

Children Grow Up Too Fast

Now to my readers, children grow up too quick. In the blink of an eye, they are grown and become an adult child. It almost seems like yesterday she was a young child. I know it has been rough raising a child, a daughter on my own as a single father, but I do know God has been with me all the way! God has always provided. God was always there with me every step of the way.

Don’t Rush It!

Parents don’t rush your children growing up. Enjoy your children while they are young while you can. Before you know it they will become an adult child and soon to start college and then a life of their own.

Greater Responsibility

As her now being an adult child comes much greater responsibilities and even soon starting college this fall. She graduates high school in May. But, being an adult now means you have much more responsibility. You now have your own bills. You are responsible for yourself. Your actions have even greater consequences. Now you will have to work the rest of your life.

I want to thank my Heavenly Father, God for my beautiful daughter and allowing me watch her grow up. I also want to thank Him for always being there for us and always providing for us. My God is an awesome God! God is good all the time as well.

Just because the child is an adult doesn’t mean parenting stops. You’ll always be the parent no matter how old they are.
