“Amen is Latin for “so be it.” It’s not a gendered word,” tweeted Republican Rep. Guy Reschenthaler “Unfortunately, facts are irrelevant to progressives. Unbelievable.”

Not to mention, we do not pray to all gods, only the God of Heaven, that just threw out all prayer to God the Father by including other gods. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:2 and Deuteronomy 5:6)

I like what Wally from WayFM said January 5, 2021, saying something on the lines instead of asking for a menu, we will ask for a womenu.

In this prayer … “May the Lord make His face to shine upon us and be gracious unto us, May the Lord lift up the light of His countenance upon us and give us peace. Peace on our families, peace on this land and, dare I ask oh Lord, peace even in this chamber now and evermore. We ask it in the name of the monotheistic god, Brahma and god known by many names by many different faiths. Amen and awoman.”

Brahma is a god in Hinduism.

Rep. Michael Guest mentioned this prayer was met with immediate backlash and being shocking and offensive, he also stated “Amen is an affirmative statement that expresses approval or agreement at the end of a prayer and in no way denotes gender, closing a prayer in this manner is disrespectful to all people of faith.”

This I agree is a very offensive prayer for the fact he prayed to other gods and that he was putting gender on the affirmation closing.
