In the Bible, green was showing for herbs, trees and clothing. Most of the usage was referring to herbs and trees (throughout Genesis, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, Job, Psalms and more) . I did see one place said their bed was green (Song of Solomon 1:16).
Most of the usage for Lexicons were for greenery, like grass, trees, corn, etc.

I do think Psalm 23 is a popular chapter that most people know. The Lord is my shepherd. Most of us all know this one. Did you know it has the color green in it? Look at Psalm 23:2.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
As we can see, green pastures, that can be the grassy and tree area. An area of greenery. I am sure if he is laying down, he is laying in the shade, since this was a hot area to be in. Plus, still waters to help cool down too.
