Adult Autism Awareness Day – An awareness day about autism in adults. #AdultAutism #Autism #AdultAutismAwarenessDay
Adult Autism Awareness Day

This autism awareness day for adults is held annually on April 18th. It was created in 2009, but I am unsure who created this day.
There is a good TV show, Good Doctor, about an adult with autism, in this show there is a doctor who has autism. (A young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome uses his extraordinary gifts to save lives and challenge skepticism.) Dr. Shaun Murphy is played by Freddie Highmore, who in real life does not have autism. Highmore done a lot of research and worked closely with autistic community to help him in his role.
My step-son, is an adult with autism.
This day is not to be confused with World Autism Awareness Day.
