4th Days

This entry is about 4th Days from my Walk to Emmaus, this was talk #15 that was given by Bill Shinn.

What is 4th Days? Your 4th days are every day after your Walk to Emmaus. You were on the walk for three days. So on the 4th day you are ready to finish your journey. The 4th Days is the same as the Next Step on the Chrysalis Flight for teenagers.

I believe these 4th day notes that I have from my walk, can also be used by any Christian, regardless if you went on the walk or not. It can help you in some manner.

Focus on that day, you may be done with the Walk to Emmaus, but the journey will still continue. Your task now is to help strengthen your church, community and others. Make disciples! We are to bear witness for Christ, to bring zeal.

Remember the World hasn’t changed you are. You have changed because you have Christ in you. Don’t try to take on the world all at once!

Don’t tell someone you need the Emmaus Walk.

When you go to witness, if you have a lack of confidence, you will have missed opportunities to witness.

You and God are the majority.

And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. (Romans 8:11)

The power that raised Christ from the dead is within you.

You must stay in touch with Christ. You cannot do this alone. With God All Things Are Possible. (Stated in both Matthew 19:26 & Mark 10:27)

The devil will tempt you. Remember even the devil knows scriptures. He even tried to tempt Jesus with Scriptures. Devil will make you think … Look at that sin, God won’t forgive you. Don’t allow that to happen, because we know that God forgives us for ALL our sins. We must accept Christ as our personal Savior, Believe Christ Died for our sins and Confess those sins and repent (Turn away from our sins).

We need to keep our eye on Christ. Continue on and go forward. Stay in touch with friends and keep your priorities! God wants us to allow His love to be shown through us to others. Don’t be stagnant either! Remember people don’t follow parked cars!

  • Convict!
  • Assurance!
  • Change!

We need to have a clear concept on priority, our task, and of Holiness. Try to all for no prevision of sin. Try to be sin less, since we are not sinless. We repent or turn away from that sin. Not want to do it again. To change and be a new creature in Christ. When we are convicted, we don’t want to do that sin anymore. Because of that we will change. Because we are of Christ we are assured we will go to Heaven.

Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen and will see of me. (Acts 26:16)

The more you know Christ and Study God’s word the sharper your ear will be. The better you will be able to defend yourself with the Sword (God’s Word). You will make your Armor of God stronger!

Just fyi, the Walk to Emmaus is a Spiritual Walk.
