$300 Road Trip from NYC to LA

I would try to take my time to enjoy the sights along the path. As I journey, I would visit various churches along the way. I would even share about this blog ministry, Courageous Christian Father. The one you are reading right now!
With only having $300 cash. I would have to make that money stretch by being very frugal. It would be mostly used for gas money. I know a Toyota Prius is great on gas mileage. I believe it is around 50 something miles per gallon.
I would also blog about each leg of this journey and other things I feel I should blog about on this road trip.
I’d hope maybe, I could find fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, that would help along the path. I would need help with lodging and meals. I am sure, I my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ could assist along my journey too.
They could let us sleep at the church, their place or even offer a nights lodging in their area. The same with food, they could have us over for a meal at their house, or even their church with a covered meal type of thing. Maybe take us out somewhere to eat or even give us snack foods and other things we can keep in the car to eat on the road.
If not, I could sleep a night or so in the Toyota Prius.
I would take the time to hand out as many gospel tracts as I could.
The journey would only be 2,800 miles. If you look it up on a map, it would take you 43 hours straight driving. That is not wise to do it straight driving. I am sure that won’t include any rush hour traffic or even construction.
This route would involve tolls. So some of the money used, would have to pay the toll to pass.
I’d also have to remember the time zones I would have to travel through.
During this journey I would pass through these states …
- New York
- Pennsylvania
- Ohio
- Indiana
- Illinois
- Iowa
- Nebraska
- Colorado
- Utah
- Nevada
- California
That would give me 9 new states that I have not visited. Plus a few more states just to get to New York City from Tennessee to start my journey.
